Jon Ardrey is an experienced entrepreneur with extensive Fortune 500 brand strategy experience. A co-founder of health and wellness social network Firefly Health, Jon is currently General Partner at StoryDesign – a firm that helps disruptive innovators connect their future-forward discoveries to the everyday lives of their consumers through brand and product development advisory services.
Prior to StoryDesign, Jon was General Partner at Ignite Advisors, a boutique media advisory firm. Before Ignite, Jon was Partner and Head of Global Strategy for Safari Sundays, the independent digital and design agency of record for Pepsi International. There he was responsible for all brand strategic thinking related to the support of Pepsi’s local markets outside the US and Canada in both the digital and packaging design spaces, including World Cup 2010. In addition to Pepsi, Jon also worked on Doritos, Cheetos, 7Up and in new product development and design.
He also serves as a special advisor to SABEResPODER, a Spanish-language media startup focused on better serving and educating new citizens on how to achieve their dreams in the United States.
Jon was born in Boston, graduated from Harvard College, and currently lives in New York City.
Sheila Lirio Marcelo is founder and CEO of Care.com which helps families address their care needs including child care, tutoring, senior care, pet care, and housekeeping.
Prior to founding Care.com, Sheila served as an executive at several successful internet companies including: Upromise, a site helping families save for college; and TheLadders.com, an executive job search engine. Sheila also serves on the Board of Trustees for several non-profit organizations including the Ayala Foundation USA, an organization that helps over 100 Philippine non-profits; and the Achievement Network, which helps students reach academic excellence by providing effective, data-driven strategies. Sheila has been recognized as one of the Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs by Fortune magazine and named a 2010 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year in New England. She is a 2011 Marshall Memorial Fellow, one of the most prestigious European awards offered to innovative American business leaders.
Sheila graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a degree in Economics. She also holds both a M.B.A. and a J.D. from Harvard University.
Steve Nathan is CEO of Parity Computing in San Diego. Parity is a leading provider of unstructured data management and knowledge discovery solutions focused on analytics platforms in the biomedical research arena.
Formerly, Steve was CEO of Exist Global, CTO at Alignent Software, vice president at Sun Microsystems and Director of Engineering at Cray Research. He has an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Riverside in Mathematics and Computer Science.
Michael Rodriguez is the managing director and founder of DreamHost, a Los Angeles-based web hosting provider and domain name registrar. He is also the Chief Technology Officer of Alchemy Communications, an internet data center that offers co-location, managed services and multicarrier Internet connectivity.
Michael is a graduate of Harvey Mudd College with a degree in computer science.
