Morphlabs is a recognized leader in converged infrastructure solutions for the Enterprise. Our flagship products, the mCloud Racks and mCloud Data Center Unit (DCU), pre-integrate hyperscale hardware with best-of-breed software to deliver the most price performant private cloud solution available today. The mCloud solution’s next generation modular architecture completely integrates compute, storage and networking to dramatically reduce the cost of IT while accelerating time to market. Enterprises are free to focus on the tasks that differentiate their business, instead of worrying about IT procurement, integration, assembly and optimization.
Founded in 2007 by industry pioneers, Morphlabs, Inc. is headquartered in Los Angeles, with operations in the Philippines, Japan and Australia.
Morphlabs, Inc. was established in 2007 to make elastic cloud computing possible for Enterprise customers, for Data Centers and Service Providers, and for Software Developers. Our founders have been pioneers and innovators in cloud computing and open source computing, and the team has delivered a line of innovative products that have achieved proven success in the market.
We were one of the first Amazon Web Services (AWS) solution providers when we launched Morph Appspace in 2007 which ultimately grew to over 4,000 users. Appspace was reintroduced as mCloud On-Demand in 2010 as a free cloud computing service that works with Amazon EC2 to help take the complexity out of cloud computing. In 2010, we launched the Morphlabs mCloud series of cloud-enabling products which is targeted at data centers, service providers and the enterprise market in Japan, North America and Asia.
Within the rapidly expanding ecosystem of cloud computing, Morphlabs garnered attention with our mCloud Data Center Unit solution, a revolutionary software-defined micro-data center, launched in mid-2011. We formed strategic partnerships with data centers including Telx and CoreSite, joined the Metro Ethernet Forum as the first cloud provider to help drive adoption of carrier ethernet standards, and successfully raised another $5 million in Series C funding.
To date, 2012 has been a great year for Morphlabs. We launched the first all-SSD-powered cloud, deployed our private cloud solutions globally, and unveiled the new mCloud Rack Enterprise Edition, a fully converged software and hardware infrastructure solution powered by OpenStack. As a founding member of the OpenStack Foundation, a member of the TechAmerica commission on State and Local Government Cloud Computing recommendations, and a participant in the OASIS TOSCA technical standards body, we have no doubt the momentum will continue.
